Vangi Bath is a famous South Indian dish usually famous among the Brahmin community. Literal translation could be thought of, as Fried Brinjal rice. This dish is mostly homemade, and is hard to find in restaurants. Typically found in Karnataka, spicier variety is often found in neighboring states Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Mostly viewed as a dry dish, it is accompanied with raitha or mosaru bajji.
Steps to make Vangibath : Take 3-4 spoons of oil. Take 4-5 Brinjal and cut them into pieces of an in inch length. Fry it till it gets Smoothened. Put the vangi bath Powder of about 4-5 spoons and add tamarind juice, salt and jaggery according to the requirment and taste. Fry the whole stuff for 5 - 10 mins and add the cooked rice to it.
